Interior Design Direction for Headrow Lofts

When 4 The Headrow was undergoing full refurbishment to create boutique serviced apartments, the interior design direction was a key starting point. We began by ripping out everything that existed before so each apartment was nothing more than a shell, which provided a new starting point and we knew we wanted to create something special.

We consulted the team at Fika Interiors and Gabrielle Austin, Interior Designer with the well-known design and furniture specialist, became responsible for designing the spaces of each loft.

Gabby explains what she wanted to achieve:

“The spaces take influences from Japanese and Scandinavian design. Showcasing soft minimalism, natural materials and lighting but with a darker more elegant colour palette. The apartments maintain a sense of calm throughout the interiors and the results are a sophisticated, timeless blend of earthy beiges and browns offset by swaths of rich wood and layering of soft textures. Think cladded panelling, earthy materials, soft linens, clean lines and statement vases to create a cosy tranquil retreat”.
The results speak for themselves and are proving to be a real hit with guests. The completed spaces stand out in the Leeds market as being among the most striking, luxurious serviced apartments available.
